  • ShaCreel Grooms, Founder, Executive Director

    ShaCreel Grooms founded Unleashed Visions to address educational and social challenges in her community. With a Master’s in Education and a Bachelor's in Interdisciplinary Studies from Old Dominion University, she has dedicated her career to closing the achievement gap. Her experience as a classroom instructor, interventionist, and Qualified Mental Health Professional has equipped her with a deep understanding of the barriers that impact student success. ShaCreel is committed to enriching students' lives by addressing both their academic and social needs.

  • Danielle Conyers, Director

    Danielle Conyers, an alumna of Booker T. Washington High School, earned her B.S. in Computer Science from Norfolk State University and an M.A. in Systems Engineering from Old Dominion University. During her time at NSU, she gained technical experience through a Department of Defense internship while balancing her role as a student-athlete. Danielle now works as an engineer at the Naval Warfare Systems Center Command, where she excels in leading teams and fostering stakeholder relationships to implement complex technical solutions.

  • Chimere Adams, Treasurer

    Chimere Adams is a Financial Management Analyst for Military Sealift Command, recognized for her leadership and collaboration throughout her career. She previously served as an Accountant Technician for the U.S. Coast Guard Finance Center, where she led several key programs and served as Special Emphasis Director for the African American program. Adams has also earned her Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and was promoted to Financial Management Analyst for NAVFAC Mid Atlantic, where she managed funds and collaborated with contractors to ensure budget completion.

  • Phyllis Gaskins, Secretary

    Phyllis Gaskins is a Certified Quality Housing Inspector for the Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority, ensuring residents live in safe, compliant housing under HUD guidelines. With over 19 years at the STOP organization, she helped guide high school students into post-secondary education and workforce opportunities. Phyllis holds a degree in Human Services and has also volunteered with the YWCA, where she supported victims of domestic violence in finding housing, jobs, and reestablishing their lives. Her commitment to community safety and development has been the cornerstone of her career.

  • Ashanti Goodhope, Program Mentor

    Ashanti Goodhope, is a graduate from Norfolk State University with over a decade of experience as a Qualified Mental Health Professional. She has worked extensively as an Intensive In-Home Counselor and Therapeutic Day Treatment Counselor, providing compassionate care and guidance to youth. Ashanti has leadership and motivational skills from her role as a college track and field coach, where she fosters teamwork and resilience. Her combined expertise in mental health and coaching uniquely qualifies her to lead Unleashed Visions' mentorship program, empowering young women to overcome obstacles and reach their potential.
